There are days that I like to devote to getting organized. Today was the day that I just wanted to stay home and go through financial stuff. Reorganizing things is important to me and having stuff in order makes me feel free to be.....well whatever I want to be, like creative.
These types of days the clock moves fast and I move slow, the result is not enough got done. Well, I should reframe that statement as I did not get all that I wanted to get done. Ah, what's new there? As a mom, um well really as a human, there is always more work than time or energy.
Jake, my youngest son who struggles with health issues, was feeling good enough to get out so I had to drop everything, (um...I'm embarrassed to admit that I didn't shower yet by this point in the day) shower, and get out of dodge. As we were going along the yawns hit me so I needed some Pepsi to recharge. I just happened to hit drive through right at dinner time. It was the longest wait for a soda in my whole entire life! I lucked out and the nice lady at drive-through upgraded the size of the drink and gave it to me for free!
Once back home, Jake and I endeavored to start his online school classes. I had already spent hours setting up his computer with Flash, Java and other things and thought that he was good to go. Nope. I entered the Techo Blackhole. I downloaded, restarted, looked up stuff for help, deleted programs, redownloaded, watched a few odd Youtube videos to relieve stress, downloaded Java yet again and finally without throwing the laptop through the wall, wall-la we were in business!
So needless to say it has been a day of computers and numbers and passwords and oh my-my Ugh! I think I will call it a night after this post and go wash some dishes and start reading "Crazy Rich Asians" for the book club that I got invited to.
Lesson: Technology sucks time. Next time I will set a timer and save the undone work for another day!
I finally found something to use my store cash for online. I managed to only have to pay shipping and figured that it would be better to pay $8.95 than going to the store and waste my time. Warm slippers I'm waiting for you!
